Experience West Virginia history or your Methodist Heritage, here in the oldest standing Protestant Church west of the Alleghenies. Rehoboth is WV’s only United Methodist Historic Landmark.





 Dedicated in 1786
 Bishop Francis Asbury visited 5 x’s
 Made Methodist Shrine in 1960
 Placed on National Registry in 1974
 Oldest grave 1807, most recent 1947.

“As long as the grass grows and the water flows, this shall be a house of worship,” are the words Edward Keenan spoke when he donated the land for Rehoboth Church, There were regular worship services in Rehoboth until 1871. Although there are no longer regular worship services in the church, Keenan’s words still ring true, each time a church reserves the building for worship or an individual takes some quiet time here.”

Rehoboth church is located 1.5 miles east of Union, WV, just off Rt. 3. Old Rehoboth Picnic Shelter
The Church & Museum are open: April – October
Thursday – Saturday: 11am – 5 pm
